This level of coaching is for the recreational endurance athlete or an athlete who is in the early stages of endurance competition. It will aim to provide knowledge to the athlete of racing tactics and strategies, proper nutrition, and workouts specific to the athlete's current level of fitness. An emphasis will be to introduce the athlete to proper techniques and workout load as not to overtrain them or leave them feeling burned out. The athlete will be able to concentrate solely on training while learning about the sport to take it to the next level. This package will include the following:
Initial athlete interview to review athlete's background, medical issues, and goals.
Detailed workouts delivered via online training program (provided to the athlete) every 4-6 weeks.
Workouts written and explained in detail using Heart Rate or Rate of Perceived Exertion.
Heart Rate and workout files reviewed with athlete monthly.
10-15 emails per month.
One training program revision per cycle, if needed.
Field testing based on Heart Rate to show progress in training and to understand what levels the athlete should train in.
Basic nutritional guidance specific to the sport.
Strength conditioning program with various levels of work to compliment the training program.
